      • mole to mass & mole to particle conversions
      • mass conservation and balancing reactions
    • New notes
      • molar ratios: ratios determined by the coefficients in the balanced equation
    • Stoichiometry cards on whiteboards
      • students arrange cards to convert from grams of one substance to grams of a different substance (3 separate examples)
        • the correct arrangement of cards are copied into the notebook after class discussion
        • notes are added around each conversion factor, noting molar mass and molar ratio (including arrows from each number in the molar ratio and back to that number and substance in the balanced equation)
      • students solve a given problem on the whiteboard
        • copy this into their notebook after class discussion
        • again, adding notes labeling molar mass, molar ratio, and an arrow from the number in the ratio to the balanced equation
